Bruce Campbell – Live at St. Louis!

Ok, so cybrpunk and I went to see Bruce Campbell. OMG For anyo of you who don’t know who Bruce Campbell is, he was Ash from the Evil Dead Series, as well as many other “B” roles in many other movies/tv series. He was Autolycus, the King of Thieves in Hercules and Xena. But he is best known for the Evil Dead Series.

I just have to say he’s very very very hilarious! I loved it! I don’t think I’ve laughed that hard since I saw the Eddie Izzard special on HBO! Before we went I did not know that he was going to be doing a Q&A session, so I didn’t take my video camera. Big Mistake!!! From now on, I will always have to bring my backpack along with my video camera. LOL Luckily I did remember to bring my digital camera (so yes there are pics!) unlike poor cybr, who forgot to bring his. Luckily I’m a nice guy, and he used my camera to take pics. :)

I also did manage to get his latest book, If Chins could Kill: Confessions of A B-Movie Actor autographed. I haven’t read the whole thing yet unfortunately, even though cybr loaned me his hardcover (I got the softcover tonight, the reason for his signing tour) like 6 months ago.

I’m not one to requote or reiterate what he said or did, but there was this one girl who wanted him to say the word “workshed”. Hmm. Not sure why she wanted him to do that. Anyone know? LOL I mean obviously it’s a reference to the Evil Dead series. If you know, let me know!

Here are the pictures, in no particular order:

It’s fall

It’s fall time. Autumn. Actually the first day of autumn was 9/18. So I’m late. I was sick. sue me. :)

I love the fall. Not because my birthday falls within the season either! I love the colour changes, the temperature changes (especially that!), and just the smell of autumn. Every season has that certain smell, but I like the smell of fall the best. It reminds me of times long ago.

If Sam and Jeff N. are still around reading here, (I hope they are) today is a day that reminds me of the time when we all went to Smithville Park to take some pictures. Man…I Really miss that park in Jersey. It’s just off Route 38 in Mt. Holly, NJ. A Really small lake, you wouldn’t even think twice of going there except for some reason or another it caught my friend Mark’s eye. I’ve got tons of pictures of us there.

Thinking about that makes me think about Halloween and Thanksgiving and Christmas. Ahhhhhh Love those memories. I guess that’s what makes me like the fall the best. It makes me nostalgic.

“You expected to be sad in the fall. Part of you died each year when the leaves fell from the trees and their branches were bare against the wind and the cold, wintry light. But you knew there would always be the spring, as you knew the river would flow again after it was frozen. When the cold rains kept on and killed the spring, it was as though a young person had died for no reason.
– A Moveable Feast by Ernest Hemingway”
