I’m so sick. Maybe it’s the West Nile thing. Man I feel horrible.

Friday Five
It’s Friday! Late, but who cares. :)
It’s 9/11.
Well, I never Really did have the intention of not posting on 9/11 to reflect on things. And I’m not entirely insensitive. As a matter of a fact, it just makes me plain sad. I’ve never forgotten it, nor will I ever. It’s a catastrophe that will always be a topic probably for the rest of our lives. The inevitable question of “where were you when 9/11 happened”? Nevermind the year, everyone will know what you’re talking about. That’s fine with me. I think it’s a good thing to reflect on the past.
Does the media Really have to have so much about it?
The media at times can be very overbearing. I remember Desert Storm/Shield how they broadcasted just about everything. What people tend to overlook is the fact that the media normally only concentrates on the “most exciting thing” at the time. i.e. Big events get all the news. Meanwhile, there’s people dying everyday, but noooo, let’s not make it news because it’s no where near as bad as the 9/11 incident. I’ve got news for you:
Any Death just sucks.
It’s true, and you know it. But we get so drawn into the hype the media makes, it gets unreal. We tend to forget about everything else. All I can say to that is that I’m sad. I’m sad that people are being murdered or kidnapped or anything else and the media doesn’t seem to care.
I will always remember the tragedy of 9/11. But I will remember it in my heart and to myself. I honestly don’t think I need the media hype to remind that many people died.
On a similar note, I read a thread on a message board today that referred to Hiroshima. They asked “why do people think of Hiroshima as the only city that was nuked? Nagasaki was nuked as well”. (I paraphrased that statement.) Yes, this is true. Both cities had an atomic bomb dropped on them. And yes, thousands and thousands of people died. But the point is Hiroshima was the FIRST city to get an atomic bomb dropped on it. It was (and still is Really. Just ask any descendent of a Hiroshima survivor about that) a truly epic event. I just thought I’d point that out.
(btw, I don’t want people to think that Hiroshima is a worse tragedy than 9/11. As far as I’m concerned any death is equally tragic.)
This -or- That?
It’s time for This -or- That!
There’s definitely something nice…
There’s definitely something nice to having your own office. For one thing I can listen to my music Really loud. :) Nothing quite like starting up DI and making sure my sub woofer is working properly. :) Ahh…

I need a vacation!
Man. I need a vacation. I need some money so I can go on vacation. Hell, I don’t even know how many vacation days I have right now. I think I’ve been working here long enough to get the 3 weeks of vacation. Man, that’s a long time. Gonna have to take a vacation. A Long Vacation. :)
This -or- That?
This -or- That Tuesday from christine :)
Amazing really.
You never realize the folly of taking a shower while you are washing clothes until you’re in it. Then you make the mad rush of trying to clean up before the washer goes into the next cycle. Of course, that’s never fast enough though. :)
