It was inevitable. I’m an 80’s music lover. So Volume 3 has a few of the 80’s hits that I oh-so-loved.

01: Angel Eyes – Jeff Healey
I remember seeing Jeff Healey in Roadhouse with Patrick Swayze. Remember that movie? Anyways, although this song was not in the movie, for some reason this song reminds me of it. :)

02/03: I Would Die 4 U/Baby I’m a Star – Prince and the Revolution
Yes, I know this is on Vol. 2, but I had to put it on here again. :)

04: You Keep Me Hangin’ On – Kim Wilde
This song makes me thing of the years I spent working at Six Flags Great Adventure. Ahhh the memories.

05: Baby, I love your Way/Freebird – Will to Power
I always associate this song with Your Mama don’t dance by Loggins and Messina. Probably because of the many conversations I had with my friend Candy. She would say her parents weren’t like the song by Loggins/Messina. And in turn this medley reminds me of Candy, since she was a big Freebird fan, and she was rather impressed by this remake. :)

06: Can’t Fight This Feeling – REO Speedwagon
Come on. Who didn’t like this song!

07: Every Rose has it’s Thorn – Poisin
Believe it or not, this is the first song I actually learned how to play on the guitar. It’s Really easy actually. :)

08: Life In a Northern Town – Dream Academy
This song reminds me of my friend Mark. Wow lots has happened since then. Anyways, I remember listening to this song in his car driving to some place.

09: Maneater – Hall and Oates
This song Totally reminds me of Shinjuku/Kichijoji in Japan. I remember going there with Arlene, and we were in some shop when this song started playing. Ahhh those were the days of fun!

10: Nightshift – The Commodores
I Really love this song. I remember hearing this song in high school when I had a crush on this girl named Jackie. Thought it was kinda funny. :)

11: Rock Me Amadeus – Falco
I have to say, this is probably the only song I liked by Falco. Of course, this was one of those “one hit wonders” of the 80’s. :)

12: Something About You – Level 42
For some reason, I think of amusement parks when I hear this song. I definitely think of Wildwood, NJ. I’ve had some serious fun down there. Sometimes, I wish I could go back.

13: The Future’s So Bright, I Gotta Wear Shades – Timbuk 3
Who didn’t like that movie Summer School with Mark Harmon? I mean that was a great movie! I will always think of surfing when I hear this song. hehe.

14: Video Killed the Radio Star – The Buggles
‘nuff said. :)

15: Walk This Way – Run DMC and Aerosmith
When I saw this video, I thought, wow this is awesome! They actually did a great job! Loved it. :)

16: You Might Think – The Cars
For some reason I think of Fast Times at Ridgemont High when I hear this song. Probably an association thing. Also reminds me of The Last American Virgin. If you haven’t seen either movie, I recommend them both. :)

17: Your Wildest Dreams – The Moody Blues
You know, not many people know who the Moody Blues are. This isn’t one of my most favourite songs by them, but it is definitely a favourite.

18: Whip It – Devo
Devo. Who didn’t think they were the greatest? :)

19: That’s All – Genesis
I was never a real Genesis fan at first, because, well I never knew who they were! Later on, when I found that Phil Collins used to be in Genesis I started listening to them. Then I realized Peter Gabriel had roots there too. I thought, “wow, these guys are great!” That is all. :)
