Ok, so I had to try this out. I went ahead and downloaded ExpressionEngine and got everything set up, and lo behold, I get a problem with the encryption. My server won’t support it. They’re using a third party encryption system to protect their files. I can Totally understand this. I’ve put in for support and await a solution.

Regardless of that installation issue, the features look incredibly promising. From the add-ons list, it looks as if a great source for a gigantic hosted blog site. i.e. Like TypePad. I’m not sure how robust it will be, and how it would compare with a premium service like TypePad though. We shall see! I’m pretty excited.
