I have my sliding glass doors open. I’m wearing shorts. It’s not quite hot, but not quite cold outside. It’s perfect. I’m sure it won’t last long. *sigh*
[updated]

Sucky – you want sucky – my life today is being determined by the following forecast:
Blizzard warning for Queens county PEI continued. This is a warning that blizzard conditions are developing and will persist through today. Monitor weather conditions..Listen for updated statements.
Storm surge warning for Queens county PEI continued The combination of strong northeast winds low pressure and astronomical high tides will result in storm surge of 1.0 to 1.5
meters along coastal sections of the above mentioned regions. Coastal
flooding is expected to be with the high tide this evening and will
end during the overnight period.
The public are advised to monitor future bulletins on this
potentially very dangerous weather system.
A very intense low pressure system south of Nova Scotia will move to lie just southeast of Cape Breton Island by this evening. This storm has already brought heavy snow and blizzard conditions to the entire province. Northeast winds of 60 km/h gusting to 100 km/h today will give blizzard conditions throughout the district. Further snowfall amounts of 25 to 35 centimetres are expected before the snow tapers off later tonight.
Storm force northeast winds over the southern Gulf of St Lawrence in association with this system will become northerly by the end of the day. The combination of low pressure and strong winds will generate a very large storm surge of 1.0 to 1.5 metres along the shorelines of Prince Edward Island later today. The storm surge will be coincident with high tide in many areas leading to flooding along the coastline. All shorelines will be affected to some degree but particularly the shorelines of Northumberland strait including the downtown waterfronts of Summerside and Charlottetown.
The flooding will be with the high tide this evening and will end during the overnight period. Strong onshore winds will lead to ice pressure near the coast by this afternoon leading to potential ice ride up and pile up along the shorelines.
Holy crap. Of course, right now it’s really nice outside. I should have worn my shorts to work today. But I know I will when I get home. I’m sorry for the crappy weather. Man, and I thought about moving to Canada at one point in time. :cowtiny:
:gulp: I moved here from the US 30 years ago – it is paradise – but days like today have their moments. At least a day off from work. Even the cops have announced they are staying off the roads.
Oh you would love it here Yoshi :) I missed a whole days work today ha ha.
But 51cm of snow and another 15 to 20 to come through the night with winds at 110km per hour it’s not a very nice night out there. And then tomorrow morning we will have the enjoyment of diging out of the snow banks. Now I think thats more than enough reason to move to Canada. :)
Beyond cool – I become acquainted with Yoshi a few days ago via pMachine and now I find another Islander hanging-out. What a wonderfully circular world blogs create.
Yes humble, like I was telling homey earlier, I can’t seem to turn around without seeing another canadian blogger. :coolsmirk:
