I worked in Lacey for a year or so before working at Microsoft. Lacey is a great town. The only place I liked better was Bellevue, but that’s just so much more expensive. Stopping places? Powell’s in Portland. Anywhere up and down the Oregon coast. But those are more like destinations after you get there. The Hoh rain forest. Narrow’s bridge, Bummertown (Bremerton), that sort of thing. It’s not even that long of a drive to Seattle. :) Depends on which way you go.
