A few observations

It’s raining today. I love the rain. I have to admit, I Really like thunderstorms. It reminds me of the days in Japan when we would get typhoons, and I would just sit at the sliding glass doors watching the wind and the rain fall. Ah, the innocence of youth. The rain here so far reminds me of Japan. It’s a light drizzle, turning into hard rain, then just as quickly, it turns back into a light drizzle. Occasionally the sun will pop out and shine brightly down, while it was continuing to rain. Now that’s the kind of rain I love. I’m so glad to be in Washington. It’s good to be alive.

On a different note, I went to Bank of America today to open up an account. After all the horror stories I’ve heard, I was almost afraid, but it was probably one of the best experiences in a bank I’ve ever had. I spent 10 minutes in the bank, entering and leaving, after which I had a checking and savings account. It was rather painless. I simply couldn’t believe it myself. I’ll have to say for new accounts, BofA is thumbs up.

I’m finally getting close to unpacking all my stuff. I have come to the realization that I was way too much computer junk. Wires, old video cards, sound cards, etc. I’m sure I could probably assemble a couple computers with all the gear I have. Then there are all my magazines. I hold on to too many issues of PhotoGraphic and MacWorld. Those things weigh a ton! I think that’s one of the many things I’ve inherited from my mom. She’s got tons of magazines as well. For some reason, we just can’t let the old issues go. I’ll probably never read half of them again, but I know the instant I throw them away, I’ll need them.

  1. I thought I was the only person in the world that decided to move 5 years of magazine back issues with me from house to house. Like you, I have a massive collection of Photographics and Macworlds.  Somethings are just too important to throw out!

  2. I still have every issue of Motor Trend, PC Gamer, Gorezone, Slaughterhouse and Fangoria I have ever bought.  Many of the latter being 15+ years old.  I just looked through them a few weeks ago.  Ah….

Who told you horror stories about BoA?  I have been with them forever.  There interest rates aren’t that great but they are otherwise great.

  3. You may regret it during the month of June, it rains almost non-stop then. I do miss the rain when we have so many days of pure sunshine. :)
