Inserting formatting buttons to your comments

It’s not overly hard to put in a bunch of formatting buttons for your comments. By formatting buttons I mean buttons that will insert a bold, or italic tag. I’ve uploaded an example for you to take a look at. It fully works as an HTML page and has comments for what code you need to insert into your own templates. Have a look!

  1. Is there a way to add a URL button?  Say a Javascript prompt that asks for the URL, then the text to be linked?

    I’m looking for something that will drop a n HTML link.  The reason is, if you add a “coded” link, it shows up as plain tect in the Recently Commented Entries plugin.  That screws up the formatting on my page…
