Ok for those of you who have watch Andromeda, did you watch the finale? I watched it and thought. Hmm. Is this the series finale or what?
(don’t read on unless you’ve seen the episode because of spoilers.)
Ok, so it seems (note I say seems) like just about everyone dies except for Dylan. Hell, I thought that Beka would be back, but damn, did she have to die? I just remember seeing this episode listed as Season Finale, but hell, are they going to get a whole new crew or something? Although there was no doubt that Rommie died. Shame. Of course, Harper could rebuild her; if he was still alive! I’m just not sure how to take this episode. If it is the Series Finale, that Really sucked.
How does this post make you feel?

I purposely didn’t watch it because it was suppose to be the series finale (canceled) and I have experience with bad finales from Farscape.
I read on a website that it’s back in production so maybe there is hope. :)
Well it was pretty bad. I was reading up on the forums at andromedatv.com and Ogami gave a very good review of it. You wouldn’t have had to have seen it either.
Yeah, I heard as well that it picked up the 5th season, but I think they will totally slaughter the series, all over again.
They’ve also been doing casting calls. Tells me that probably only Dylan and possibly Trance will be the ones to come back. My opinion, of course. : )
So, they pulled a Blake’s 7 did they… For those of you out there who hasn’t seen Blake’s 7, the last episode of the series, a fire fight broke out and everyone died. There was a story written later (I can’t remember what they used to call those things…) that merged Blake’s 7 and Highlander. So the episode after the last one, some of the dead characters woke up and realized that they were “special”. :)
Maybe, just maybe, they will do a thing where the season(?) finale was a dream or some weird time loop… eeh, probably not.
Not that I’m dissing the show, but I’m really surprised that it was on for as long as it was. I mean really, Kevin Sorbo in space? I don’t get it. Of course, I don’t get the current StarTrek series Enterprise. The fact that it is still on the air amazes me.
Yeah, Space Above and Beyond did the same thing, although that was because they were definitely cancelled, and they decided everyone should go out in a bang. Damn shame I tell you.
If they do the dream thing I’ll be pissed. But at the same time, I will totally miss Harper and Beka and the Maru. I loved those guys! Hell, what about Andromeda for that matter. It’s just crazy. Just like Earth Final Conflict.
I miss Space Above and Beyond. Great show.
As far as Andromeda goes, I haven’t watched the last 4 or 5 episodes, even though they’ve been Tivo’d. I’m still upset about Angel being cancelled.
Harper’s gone? I thought he was the most popular character on the show? Well, with Herculoid’s ego, that would definitely mean that he’s gone…. Wouldn’t it?
Jan 2005, just watched the finale episode of Andromeda. Twice actually…cause I thought I didn’t see th right show th 1st time. Huh? I’ve been watching the show off and on since the beginning. The first few seasons were pretty good, rebuilding and all that jazz, a living ship… great concept. In time the stories started to wain…and the ending. What gives? Everyone dies ‘cept the captain. I feel jipped. I wanted answers, not to feel as though the writers gave up. And as for Space Above and Beyond, their finale…was it done by the same writers? So much for the good will out. Maybe it should be if at first you don’t succeed, go die and die again. I’m gonna go watch some Stargate, the Geriatric Years now.
Well it goes to show all, Andromeda will have yet one final episode to end all confusion. Dylan will be warped BACK to his own time .. the was will rage on and the commonwealth will be destroyed anyway. All die, Dylan dies, another bummed out final episode.
