So. What’s so good about Macs?

Recently, kev posted an entry Should I get an apple?. I left a short comment, nothing major. But there’s so much more. Honestly. I use my powerbook as much as my Windows PC. So here’s a short list of why I love my Mac:

1. I use it to get all my email. ALL of it. With the popularity of email viruses, it gives me a nice breather in this world to know that most email viruses I get won’t work.

2. Viruses. There aren’t half as many Mac viruses as there are windows viruses. Although I do run Virex. No doubt. I could never understand why there aren’t more mac viruses though.

3. OS X. (well, Panther) Anyone that’s used old MacOS’s will love Panther. (well, most of us. OS 9 was pretty nice!) Oh and it’s pretty stable. Pretty. ; )

4. Mac has cooler colours. *shrug* they do in my opinion. That makes a difference to me!

5. File Management. I think Mac has always had better management. Well, Panther at least. : )

Well, those are 5. I love my Mac. It’s so nice. Although I would have to think Really hard if someone asked me to trade it for one of these. (it would have to be purple though. But they don’t have that yet.)

Inserting formatting buttons to your comments

It’s not overly hard to put in a bunch of formatting buttons for your comments. By formatting buttons I mean buttons that will insert a bold, or italic tag. I’ve uploaded an example for you to take a look at. It fully works as an HTML page and has comments for what code you need to insert into your own templates. Have a look!

So Long Friends, it’s been a good 10 years!

Watching the last episode of Friends made me wish it wasn’t the last Friends episode. I realize this whole time I’ve wanted it to end because it was getting old. But watching the last episode made me wish there was more. I thought at least there would be a sort of scene where it shows what happens to Joey and why he moves out to the west coast, but I guess that’s not going to be shown until the Joey show airs.

It’s been a great 10 years, and I hope that everyone has had a great time watching it. Thanks for all the entertainment.

Word of the Day

Plummel

One day while driving back home, my friend Jim said “Plummel”. He was explaining about the recent NBC show 10.5. He said how the “…Space Needle will plummel you…”

It’s a combination of “plummet” and “pummel”. Go figure. So use that word today! “You will be Plummeled!”

I also found a web site for the National Plummel League. Not quite the same, but hilarious just the same. Gotta love it. : )

The Da Vinci Code

So I just got done reading The Da Vinci Code. I also read Angels and Demons as well. (for those of you who didn’t know, Da Vinci Code is the 2nd book for the Robert Langdon series) I was completely enthralled! I simply love these books! I love stories that have the mystery where you Really want to figure it out before the main character does.

I understand, there are two things on the horizon: Dan Brown is currently working on the third Robert Langdon book, and it appears that there may be a movie being made of The Da Vinci Code. I understand that Ron Howard is directing the movie, and they plan to cast Russell Crowe as Robert Langford and Kate Beckinsale as Sophie. Intriguing in my mind. Personally, I’d like to know if it’s Really going to be filmed. They always do this. ; )

I was wondering what people’s thoughts were on The Da Vinci Code. Maybe start up a small discussion about Dan Brown books. : )

I also see on the horizon this year is The Bourne Supremacy the 2nd film in the Bourne Series. I rather liked The Bourne Identity. I read the book years ago, and don’t remember much of it now. I guess I’ll have to pick up the 2 books to see how they compare.
