It’s hot baby, it’s hot!

I’ve been looking around to see what products are out there for my Ti Powerbook. As many know, the Titaniums get incredibly hot. I’m not too concerned about my legs, but I don’t want my laptop to get too hot from use. I do a lot of file transferring and all my E-mail on it, and I’m not too keen on losing it because of heat issues.

I’ve been looking at a few like the Coolpad, and it just looks like all it does is raise the back of the laptop off the desk. Well, I already do that with a small dowel i run across the bottom back of my laptop. I’m just wondering if that’s enough! If anyone can recommend a good “cooler” for the laptop, that would be great! : )

  1. I recently saw someone at work with coolpad-esque device with fans built in undernearth it. We may be selling it, I’ll look into it and see what it is called.

Today’s word is “wanted.” Yoshi “wanted” a device to keep his powerbook cool. Wanted.

  2. Go to Home Depot or some other hardware type store and pick up either a 12” x 12” or 16” x 16” floor tile, pick your material (with a flat surface) and away you go.  The material pulls the heat away sorta like it would for setting a hot pan off the stove.  Started doing that long ago with my 400mhz Powerbook 15” (the month after they were first released) and on to a 12” and 15” AI Powerbooks…
