Ok, I’ve created an updated Most Commented Entries plug-in. The original was known as Popular Posts, and hasn’t been updated in a while. I was requested to make a new one by a couple folks, so here it is. Please view the README for usage. You can download it from the download section to the left.
Enjoy!

Thank you thank you thank you! It works great. :)
Yoshi, I’m confused. What’s the advantage to using your plug-in versus just building it using standard EE tags? Here’s how I’m doing Most Commented Entries on my blog:
{exp:weblog:entries weblog="weblog1" orderby="comment_total" sort="desc" limit="10" backspace="6" rdf="off" dynamic="off"}
{title} ({comment_total})
{/exp:weblog:entries}
Looking at the readme file for your plugin you seem to be duplicating something that is already doable without using a plugin.
There really is no advanatage. I totally forgot that they added new orderbys… Remember I’ve been using EE since day one, sometimes they add a few things in and I don’t read them. : )
Oh, OK. I was just curious and I hope I didn’t sound like I was trashing your efforts in any way. :-)
Les & Yoshi, it looks like the ExpressionEngine method will output entries with 0 comments on it. I believe Yoshi’s plugin ignores those entries.
Todays word is “however.” “However,” I can always add {if}’s. However.
