Okay, I thought I’d unveil the somewhat exact specifics to the new module I am currently working on:
- CP Interface to maintain your link lists.
- Multiple link lists for different types of links. (this somewhat supercedes a need for categories.)
- XFN support
- Status for links within a link list.
- Visitor capable of entering links. Ala “suggest a link”. (I’m thinking this should be member only, thoughts?)
- URL clickthrough counter.
- Updated information for link. (via weblogs.com/blogger.com changes.xml)
- URL favicon support.
I’m also considering RSS support, but I’m still on the fence about this. (i.e. it requires a lot more work hehe)
Any other suggestions for this type of module?

Great, I really like what you’re working on. I too agree that suggest a link should be members only, but perhaps if there’s a way to make it a configurable option, then each user could decide.
BTW, on your RSS feed for this blog, it points to “weblog” rather than “ee”.
Yes, the option for choosing members only for the suggest a link will be in there.
(rss feeds – fixed :)
Suggestion: Entry page to pick up a certain link list, example: http://demo.in-link.net/
or nested categories/link lists with the pureDOMexplorer (like the EE knwowledge blog)
You should probably read the updated post about this module here.
