So Google now has it’s own IM service called Google Talk (I will dub it GT from now on) where you can send IM’s, emails, or talk to your friends. I wonder how fast this will catch on. Pretty interesting. They dont’ have a client for Mac or Linux yet, but they do tell you how to set up existing clients for GT. I’m using it on Adium myself, and it *looks* like it’s working, I just don’t have anyone on my list just yet. :)

The windows application is in beta, but the service looks to be pretty solid. It uses Jabber, which works for me. Of course, I can’t talk to anyone using Adium, but hey, I’m not complaining.
