TGIF

Well, TGIF. I’ve finally completed a week of work. Now I have the weekend, and of course, next week is July 4th! I’m not Really quite sure what is on the agenda, but if nothing else, I’m ready to BBQ some burgers on the grill. Of course, I’m reminded that I have to refill that propane tank.

Well, here’s to the last day of June, and tomorrow will be a new day. Look forward to the new projectphoto!

The treadmill incline motor saga

After concluding that the incline motor was broken, I decided to ask them how much the motor would cost me. Here’s what I got, from a different customer representative no less:

Thank you for the e-mail. The ordering information for the motor is below. Thank you

The total is $ICS3407472 (which includes shipping and handling) and the order reference number is ICS3407472.  Payment must be received before your order is shipped.

Whoa. At first glance, I thought that’s too many numbers after a $ sign. Then I just noticed that it was the order reference number. Come on guys, How can you mess this up? Needless to say, I’m a glutton for abuse and replied back asking them what the real price was.

Deaths in amusement parks

In lieu of the tragic death on the Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster at Disney World the other day, John of The Disney Blog answers the question of how many people have died at Walt Disney World? From his post:

While it seems like there has been death after death at Walt Disney World there have been only nine deaths in three years (source, Orlando Sentinel) and 15 deaths since 1989 (source, the AP).

I’ll be honest. As tragic as it is, 15 deaths since 1989 is very low. He also makes a point that out of the 9 deaths in the past 3 years, 1 of them was while waiting in line. I’ll have to say you can’t Really count that.
