New default theme

Ok, so I’ve created the all new Turtle Zen theme. I’m Really digging this theme. I’m looking for you guys to give me some input. Is it good? No good? Crappy? Let me know! I’ve also made it the default skin. I Really like it. If you’re having problems with a page, please let me know. – Note: I do know the “email this entry” page is blank. I just haven’t gotten to it yet and didn’t think it’s too important. ( i mean Really, how many people use that function? )

Ok, I Really need to sleep now, as I’m getting sleepy sleepy.

  1. I love this! It’s very clean, easy to navigate and who can’t resist the little turtle guy? I say go with it. BTW, what font are you using in your titles? It’s really unique.

  2. Thank you, thank you! I’m really liking this theme myself. Even the minimalist in me says “this is good.”

LaDonna, the font is called GoodDog Cool. I don’t remember where I picked it up. I know I got a font sampler CD a whiles back and installed a bunch of fonts. :P If you want it, let me know I’ll send it to you. :)

  3. I love it, I want it. You know I’ve changed my entire site look at least 4 times in the 2 months that it has been up. I love the was the header integrates with the sidebars – I need that navigation up top too….. ah. I’ve been contemplating for a few days how to do that….  except the sidebars look too skinny for adsense?? I just can’t leave things alone, can I? ;)

  4. It’s ok, I do the same thing. Although luckily at this point, i’m not doing anything with this site, but i’m in process of setting up themes for my photolog right now.

After that, I’m planning on doing the same for my gallery/photoStream.

Of course, now I just realized that in this template, i forgot avatars on the comments! I’ll have to put those in too. LOL my work is never done!

  5. Ha, I know, I’m always tweaking something. I finally got it all to match my business side of the site, and now I want to change it again, hee hee. I use WordPress tho, so I’m not good enough to write my own theme….. and I love my widgets and plugins….

  6. Yeah, the wordpress themes are a bit wonky to me too. But sometimes I do wish that expressionengine had a similar theme method instead of doing it the way we do it now. Although, I’m not exactly sure how to enable normal users to change a theme…

But wordpress does have some nice widgets and plugins I agree!
