100 Facts in 100 Days – Day 12

12. I’m a Twin Peaks fanatic. I know! The shows long dead, but I’m still fanatic about it. Actually I’m just a big David Lynch fan. I’m actually such a fan, that I’ve been to Snoqualmie and have taken pictures of “Twin Peaks stuff”. I’ll have to show you those pictures later, as they’re on CD, and I don’t Really feel like digging through all my CD’s. (I have a lot of CD’s) But we’ve also stayed at The Salish Lodge and Spa which is what you see in the TV show as “The Great Northern Inn.” The outside of the Salish Lodge is in Twin Peaks. The inside is another location, believe it or not. I have to say though, that the Salish Lodge was heaven! If you ever get a chance (and have the cash!) take a visit. It’s well worth it.

  1. I don’t think I’ve ever seen an episode of Twin Peaks. I guess I’ll have to Netflix that after I’m done with 24.

  2. Just a word of warning. They haven’t released the entire series on DVD. There are some stupid issues with rights for the series, so you’ll be mad if you want to watch it all on DVD. not to mention the fact that the first season leaves you with a seriously LARGE cliffhanger.

You want to find the vhs version of the series, and you only need to watch up until you find out “who killed laura palmer.” after that, the series takes a serious downfall.

THEN you watch the movie. Twin Peaks : Fire Walk with me is the days BEFORE the murder of Laura Palmer.

Actually you could watch the movie first, but you would really enjoy it a LOT more if you watched the series first.
