Did you ever play stupid games with yourself when you were a kid? I used to do a lot of weird things like that when I was a kid. Not sure if it’s quite normal, but you know, when you move around a lot and don’t have too many friends, you tend to make up stuff that you can do yourself.
I had many small mini games in my head, including counting. I remember being an obsessive counter. This is probably the pre-cursor of my obsessive compulsive-ness later on in life. I’d count how many trees were in my yard, then the general area, and have to come up with rules on the fly. Because you can’t count everything in certain areas. Nope. Maybe that’s why I was so good with math, because numbers made more sense to me than words.
It has nothing to do with the fact that I’m asian. I know you were thinking it, don’t deny it.
On another note, the other day I was thinking… “I’ll be 40 next year.” Now I’m not being all depressed or anything, and honestly after 30, I Really didn’t (still don’t) care what age I was. But it’s not being 40 that was on my mind as much as I was entertained by the fact that I keep thinking I’m 21 still. I mean Really. I still act like a stupid kid, except… older. I just thought, this can’t be a good thing, can it? Would it make me much more prone to hurt myself? In my case, most likely. But, I guess while the body gets older, there’s nothing wrong with the mind getting younger.
Not too young though. I mean I don’t wanna go through puberty again. Hehe.
And because I can: Visit Hella Art and check out her art. Very neat, pop culture stuff. Actually she describes it as “pop-surreal”. I’ll agree. Very good stuff. You can contact Hella if you’re interested in buying her art. I’ve been eying a few things myself. Don’t hesitate, visit the site now!

So funny! I wasn’t even thinking that because you are asian that you should be good at math. But since you mentioned it, are you sure that isn’t why? :)
I still feel like a younger too. Oh wait that is because I AM younger than you!
It’s good to think young. Because it makes you look and feel younger and you can relate to younger people better.
LOL I can vouch for the math/Asian connection being bunk, first hand.
But why am I not surprised about the OCD-edness in your youth! And the rules! Haha!!
