My desk

This picture I believe was taken during or shortly after the blogathon last year. Notice that it is (relatively) clean. This is wild because if you saw it now, you would never see the resemblence with all the junk that is cluttered on my desk! (and also because I have a dual monitor set up now.)

Friday’s Feast 127 – week 10

Participate in Friday’s Feast!

Appetizer

Which television shows do you just refuse to miss?

And I never will, unless my PVR is down: Gilmore Girls, All CSI’s, Ugly Betty, Ghost Whisperer, Heroes, Family Guy and Men in Trees. Actually, I try not to miss Monk and House, but sometimes I just watch those instead of recording them.

Soup

Who did you last speak to on the telephone?

I last talked to Meesh on the phone as she called to tell me she was just about to arrive home.

Salad

How many pillows do you keep on your bed?

I myself actually if you can believe it, use 4 pillows. I know, but it’s to prop my head up. I had to do it for some problems per doctor’s orders once, and now that it’s Really resolved, I just never went back since I was so used to it.

Main Course

Name one addition to your computer (software, hardware, etc.) that you’d love to have.

I guess I would just love to have an upgraded CPU/Motherboard. :)

Dessert

What is your favorite foreign food?

Hmm would Japanese food be considered foreign to me? Perhaps. It would then have to be Unagi-donburi. Although honestly, I think Yakisoba is up there. And Curry Rice. And Katsu-donburi. And Katsu-curry. Damn… I’m hungry!

WordPress : so far so good

So as you may or may not be able to see, I’ve been messing around with a few things, adding some “essential” plug-ins. Since the conversion to WordPress I have to say it’s been pretty nice and easy. It wasn’t quite as painful as I expected, and in some ways, switching to WordPress on this blog has made things a bit easier!

If you find anything outstandingly crazy on the site, or any broken links, funky stuff, Please let me know!

So far I’m loving WordPress!

A Song of Ice and Fire to HBO

I just heard some incredible news today! From what I understand, HBO will be showing a new Mini-series based on A Song of Ice and Fire by George R.R. Martin. You can find this information right from the horse’s mouth!

If you haven’t read the series, please note that it is definitely not Tolkien, as you might have guessed already. I’m Really excited about this one! I’m very anxious to hear who will be in the cast.

    PSP

Ok, so this weekend, I used my Best Buy giftcard and ended up buying a PSP. I was thinking about buying a Wii, but holy crap, it’s still sold out. (at least at the Best Buy I went to)

So I’m loving the PSP now, you can copy videos, images, music, and other such stuff onto it. I love the fact that I can hook up to my wifi and cruise the internet with it and read my email, view websites and such. (is this sounding like a PSP promo?)

But Seriously, I have to say it’s pretty damn cool. I was considering buying some movies and more games (I only bought Bust-a-Move Deluxe), but not quite sure what else i’d like to have. Movie-wise however, I’m still not sure if I will ever feel the need to buy one on PSP.

So, what cool stuff are you doing with your PSP? I want to know what cool crap I can do with this thing! Give me all the hacks and tricks you’ve got! :)

    The Burning Crusade

For all you folks out there who have been waiting for the World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade, the release is coming up! Have you pre-purchased your copy? Have you gotten your characters to level 60 to explore Outland?

This time around, I’ve decided to wait. I bought the Collector’s Edition when the game first came out, and I’ve never regretted it. But after looking it over, I’m thinking that the extra stuff in the Burning Crusade CE will not be enough to warrant buying it for me. Experience may differ for each of you I’m sure. :)

Unfortunately I have the “pleasure” of being one who has played World of Warcraft since day one (in the closed beta as well!) and I remember all too well how it was when it first came out. Every newbie area was swarming with people. If you had to kill something, you had to get in a group because there no way you’d be able to tag any creature without help.

No thanks folks. I’ll wait a few days, maybe even a week. Take my word, it’s gonna be so swarmed it won’t be worth it.

Just go ahead and keep playing your higher level characters and start farming items. You know everyone will be either in the newbie areas (Draenei and Blood Elves) or they’ll be in Outland.
