Random @ hello! yoshi

First of all, send Suki some love, her grandfather is in the ICU in critical condition after an accident.

So this week, we went to go see Smokin’ Aces. We wanted to go see a movie, but wasn’t sure which one, so we saw the trailer, and remembered, “oh that had a lot of stars in it and looked good” so we went to see that. It was pretty damn good. The ending wasn’t too surprising, but it was still a good movie. I don’t want to spoil anything for anyone, so that’ll be all about the movie itself. If you like action films, this is a movie to watch.

Now, before the movie started, let’s talk about the people in the theatre. Normally, when we go to see a movie, depending on what type of movie it is, there’s always one person (or group) that is annoying. This time? Not Really. I was kind of amazed. There was the guy behind that made a remark before the movie started “So what’s up with this movie, Smokin’ Asses?” that warranted a couple snickers. But that’s about it.

But that’s the problem with leaving your home, you lose control of your environment. Which is not an entirely bad thing, I suppose. But still, I’m just saying.

Soo glad you liked the movie. I was thinking about taking the husband to see it this weekend.

I can’t even remember the last time I went to a theater to see a movie. We usually wait until it’s out on DVD. I’m sure DH will want to see this one.

I want to go see Ghost Rider. It looks like it will be cool. And, being the nerd that I am, I love my superhero movies. :)

I guess the annoying person or group at the theater is a universal thing. I hate the ones that have to talk on their cell phones through the whole movie. Or the one that loved the movie so much the first time that he/she had to bring someone to see it, and keeps saying, “Watch this part! Oh! This is so cool, watch!”

Can’t wait to see Fantastic Four Rise of the Silver Surfer, and Transformers.

I guess I’ll check out Smokin’ Aces too, since Yoshi liked it. :)

Thanks for the mini-review of Smokin’ Aces. I’ve been kicking around the idea of going to see it for the past few weeks, but keep putting it off. Maybe I’ll try to make it this weekend (assuming it’s still showing, that is).

I’ll have to check Smokin’ Aces out sometime. I hate those annoying people in the theater. Sometimes I wonder if they realize that they are annoying. I mean, do you see the other people not acting like you? That’s how you’re supposed to act.

Glad you got to see a movie in peace. I’m more of a DVD watcher myself. The last movie I’ve watched in the theater was either X-Men 3 or Serenity, whichever came out last. It has to be a fairly special movie for me to watch it in the theater these days.

i’ve been looking forward to that movie. i did just see The Departed and thought that was a great movie. if you haven’t seen it, give it a look, you’d like it.
