It’s Wednesday!

Well, it’s the middle of the week now. We’re almost clear to the weekend, though this weekend looks to be busy for us. As you might know, Meesh is having a jewelry party, I’m in charge of food. So I’ve decided that I’m going to make some gyoza (aka pot stickers), probably also some bulgogi, and various things like chips and veggie/fruit trays. It’ll probably be too much, but it sounds like there are going to be plenty of people here. It’ll be crazy, I’m sure. It’s almost too bad it’s not summertime, we could have an awesome BBQ.

So what else is new? Not much, except I’ve been having the hardest time getting motivated. I guess I’m in need of inspiration. Lately I’ve not been taking as many pictures as I should. I’ve been thinking about a lot of unfinished projects that I told myself I would work on, but haven’t. I need to exercise, but Totally lack discipline in that area. But I don’t want to sound like a whining brat, so I’ll leave it at that. I just need some motivation!

I think I just lost the motivation to finish this post, so I’ll just end it here and hope that I’ve provided at least a tiny bit of content for this day.

100 facts in 100 days – Fact 19

19. I don’t like beans. Wait. That’s not entirely true. I don’t like beans in burritos or chili. I don’t Really like Baked Beans either. Really. I should probably eat more beans though, because they can be good for you health wise. But you know, I’m just not a big fan.

I am a big fan of chili however. And while some folks will say “nooooo!”, no bean chili is by far the best! I also like having the big chunks of tomatoes in there too. Mmmm good! One of my favourite dishes is still chili on rice. If that isn’t good, I don’t know what is!

But I’m straying here. Bottom Line: Beans are not for me! Do you like beans?

(sidenote: you’ll notice that I’ve changed the theme on the site to a new one. What do you think?)

Memory Monday

Dana started Memory Monday last year to honor her Grandfather, who suffered from Dementia/Alzheimer’s. I Totally sympathize. So every Monday, I plan on posting about some kind of memory I’ve had from the past, so no one will forget them, especially me. So let’s jump into the time machine and drift back to the good ol’ 80’s.

Weekend Update

So this weekend was pretty unexciting. I worked on Saturday, because of an urgent call from home office about some big major new events, and I wanted to get things close to done before Monday. It turned out all well and good I think, since things haven’t quite moved that far yet. (keyword: yet)

On Sunday, we did the usual bowling thing (you know we’re in a league) and I wouldn’t normally post about this, but something good actually happened. My friend Karen said that she was going to bowl a 200, and that I had to roll one too, because of the Asian connection and all. (she’s half japanese) So I said, “ok.” Sure enough, game 3, I got a 201. Yes, please applaud, because my average is 117 normally. (pathetic I know) And we actually beat our opposing team. They’re Really good, but did real crappy last night. Probably because they felt sorry for us! But no Seriously. It was a good bowling night. Meesh did very well herself! She’s doing Really good, so much better than me!

This next upcoming Saturday, Meesh will be hosting a jewelry party, and I’m in charges of horderves, and was wondering if anyone had any favourites and suggestions! I was planning on making at the very least meatballs (although I’m not sure what time the party will start… this may impact what I’m cooking) and some other appetizer types I’ve been wanting to try.

Any ideas people?

Updates .. and possibly more

I just about feel like I’ve abandoned this site. I haven’t been doing much for programming, and my personal blog is elsewhere, so I’ve been pretty much not been able to talk about much here because of that. (although Danalyn has made some updates to her Title Images Module, you might want to check that out.)

Therefore, I think this calls for a change of format for this site. I’m considering making this a programming blog site for anything that I might create. I think I’ll keep the name though, because this site will still primarily be about Expression Engine. But in general, it will be about boring, nerdy programming stuff.

You may also notice that I’ve put a donations button on the front page. That’s all I’ll say about that. :)

If you want to read about my mis-adventures, however, feel free to come to my personal site, hello! yoshi.

100 facts in 100 days – Fact 18

Before I post my fact, I’d like everyone to go send some love to Starchild, who lost her father today. Also send some love to Melanie who lost Hurley bird.  Many thoughts and love go to you guys!

And now, for my little fact.

18. I Really hate wet socks. Ok, in the past I may have mentioned I don’t like socks at all. Socks are the devil. I’d rather go barefoot everywhere. Well, not in the snow. Definitely don’t want bare feet in the snow.

But I digress. I hate wet socks. I don’t know why, but it gives me the heebee jeebees. It creeps me out. Did I mention I hate it?

I’m creeping out just thinking about wet socks. How about you?

Big Dog

So yesterday, Meesh came home with some birthday gifts for our friends and picked up this Really cool t-shirt for me. I’m loving it! She told me that I should take a picture of it and put it on my blog, so here I am, doing that exact thing. Which actually I was already considering doing but was too lazy. hehe.

Gotta love the Big Dogs t-shirts.

100 facts in 100 days – Fact 17

I just realized today that I haven’t been doing the 100 facts about me thing. So without further ado:

17. I love food. Anyone that knows me knows that I love food. I love to talk about it, I love to eat it, I love to hear about food, I just love food. This might not be a surprising fact. But it’s definitely a good one.

Actually I’ve been thinking about changing this blog “format” to food. (nevermind that there’s no real format now anyways.) I was thinking that I could actually have topics and talk about different kinds of food, and what kind of food I’ve been eating/experiencing. I would of course, take pictures as well. I thought this might be pretty cool, and plus I might even share some of my recipes. (well not all of them, I do have some secret ones)

I also think this will make me cook more often. It so infrequent now for me to cook good food. I Really need to get back into it since I enjoy cooking so much. Of course, talking about food just makes me hungry too. But honestly, I’ve been thinking about actually having a real theme on this site. What do you think?

People suck.

So after talking/chatting with all my friends (well not all, most), it would seem that the general consensus is that “People suck”.

I say this in general too. I think that almost anyone in the world will agree that people suck. It doesn’t matter if it’s about your boss, if it’s about your neighbors, if it’s about your latest client in whatever, everyone can probably say that people suck.

So what do you think? Do people suck?
