So this post is about the last episode of Heroes which aired last night (3/5). If you haven’t seen this episode, or you live somewhere where the series just started, you’re approaching spoilers here, and I’m warning you now. And yes, this is the last new episode until the end of April. What a drag. Without further ado, let’s talk about some super humans.
Let me start by saying, wow. They really left us hanging, didn’t they. Also some crazy plot lines going on as well. Let me just do it by “hero”.
Peter Whoa. First of all, I’m already feeling bad for him, because he had to witness Simone get shot by accident by Isaac. Of course he blames himself. He’s a good guy after all. But what a predicament he gets himself into when he goes in search of Mohinder. We saw what happened before when Peter was new to his power, and he got close to Sylar. It was a mixed up mess. But now that he’s finally grasping his ability, what will happen here? Will Sylar have met his match? It will be interesting to see what happens in the upcoming episode.
Hiro Now that Hiro has finally retrieved the sword, he’s moved into the future, only to find that the explosion still took place. Or it appears that way. We also notice in the background a building under construction. By Linderman perhaps? What will Hiro do now? And seriously, thank god Ando is back. I really like those two together.
Niki/Jessica Okay, so seriously now, who’s really in control? I’m finding the whole split personality starting to get boring. It almost seems too convenient that Niki was able to take over just as she was getting to Nathan. Anyone else feel this way? seriously now.
Nathan Why wouldn’t he join in with Linderman right? I mean seriously, the guy is promising him information about his powers, and obviously, Linderman knows way too much. Also, he’s promising presidency? I don’t think Nathan really had a choice here. It’s just too bad he didn’t get to try the pot pie though. :P
Linderman They couldn’t have picked a better actor. I was really happy to see Malcolm McDowell as Linderman. What great casting. He played the role perfectly I thought. Now that we know some of what he knows, and who he is, what’s his role in everything? Why does it seem like everything is revolving around him? Is he a rival of Kaito Nakamura? Or are they working together? So many questions.
Claire Initially, I had wondered why she had felt a need to find Peter so much. But then we find out they’re related, and I see the bond there, but why would she have such a need to see him? Perhaps it’s because he’s the only other person besides her parents and the Haitian that have powers. However, when she stumbles onto Peter’s mom at his apartment, I’m not sure if you were surprised, but I clearly said, “holy crap!” So now, a new player is in town. More questions folks. More questions!
Mr. Bennett Since finding out his real motives that he wanted only to save his daughter from living the same life he does, I kinda like him a bit better. But now he’s in a serious bind. I can only foresee that they will have to kill him, really. He doesn’t really have any abilities (that we know of), and he’s a liability to “the company”. I’ll hate to see him go.
Isaac Dreadful. It looked to me like what he drew was his own death, with Sylar stealing his abilities. But we’ve been fooled before by his paintings. I’m really anxious to see what happens here.
So those are some things I’ve thought about after watching last nights episode. What are your thoughts and theories? Bring it on!

My predictions:
Peter will be tossed around by Sylar for a bit until he manifests a new power, Mohinder’s power. Or Invisible man decides to help him out one more time(doubtful). They’ll both make it out alive.
While it is easy to explain Nikki’s assertion of will over Jessica by slowly building up strength like Jessica did to Nikki in the first place. Remember the picture left on the pillow. I think it was Jessica not Nikki who warned Nathan. I think Nikki/Jessica are going though a “Hulk/Banner” thing where Banner realizes that the Hulk is not another entity or personality but himself, and coming to terms that he is the Hulk. So there will be a merge of two. Not one over the other.
Hiro and Ando will comeback to the current timeline after a couple of misadventures, namely the scene portrayed in the painting by Issac of Hiro fighting off a dinosaur :D
Nathan will join Linderman long enough to find out whats going on, he’ll have a hard time accepting it. Until his mother shows up and explains a few things about the real relationship their family has with Linderman and his “Company”. I like their choice for Linderman but I have to admit that there was a glimmer of hope in my heart when I saw Stan “The Man” Lee in the credits of the perivious episode.
Claire will be kept underwraps for awhile until Peter comes home with Mohinder. I’m not sure quite yet what is in store for her. She’s had a pretty big arc until now, so the next few episodes will probably focus on Nathan.
Issac poor bastard is going to kill himself one way or another. That includes allowing himself to be brain drained by Sylar. Though there is a slight chance he’ll live. If he does get himself back into shape, then the painting he drew will be of Illusion girl and not him.
Mr. Bennet is dead, as is the rest of his family. But the actor will be on further episodes as an illusion created by the company girl. I kind of liked him toward the end but they wrote him that way. I remember I hated his guts earlier on. If anything his character was specifically designed to show the audience what to expect from the show as a whole. What you maybe seeing now is but a facet of the truth.
Telepath dude, recruited by the company. hings better at home for a little while.
Nuke man, not dead. Claire tells him to escape. Comes back at critical moment.
Sylar, continues ravenous rampage.
Peter~ I don’t understand why he has been hiding all this time? Did I miss something? He needs to relax a bit.
Hiro~ I adore him and he is my fav on the show.
Nikki/Jessica~ I don’t think this split personality thing is a power, but the super strength is. I think that she is messed up from her twin sisters death and brought her “identity” on by grief. It’s getting really old though.
Nathan~ Mr. Boring.
Linderman~ Seems to be a common thread in everything. I am curious how involved he is in the “heroes”.
Claire~ Poor child. I could really use her powers for myself right now. :)
Mr. Bennett~ They really did make him more likable in this last episode. I think that really we were just seeing more of his motivation to protect Claire. It came off as him being the bad guy before but he just might not be as terrible as we first thought.
Issac~ Who cares?
Mohinder~ If he dies, I will be p.o.’ed. I like his character alot.
I would like to see how big a part Hiro’s dad plays. From flash backs it seems this goes back years but some Heroes only recently got their powers and “marks”. Why is that? I would also like to see Micah gets more screen time. He is such a cutie.
I can’t wait to see what happens next and I hate how they are making us wait!
Hiro and Ando will comeback to the current timeline after a couple of misadventures, namely the scene portrayed in the painting by Issac of Hiro fighting off a dinosaur :D
That one was already seen. It was the scene where he’s in the museum with the dinosaur!
Gah, I love this show.
Suki:
You’re right. But that scene didn’t seem quite right to me. I understand Issac’s paintings have an artist interpretation to the events…hmmm maybe I just WANT to see Hiro go toe to toe with a T-rex :P
