Ryan could use your thoughts at this time. He lost a faithful companion and great friend this weekend. Remington, his labrador, has been having issues with his rear legs and hips with dysplasia and arthritis. He had to put him down this weekend because he was just in too much pain.
Go send him some love and let him know that we’re thinking about him.

That’s so sad! Pets are part of the family, too.
I tried commenting on his blog but something wonky happens and it kicks me back to t he main screen. Anyway, in case he comes here to read the comments… I am so very very sorry for his loss. My Julio has started showing signs of weakness in his hips and it just breaks my heart that there might come a day when the pain is too much for him and we have to make decisions on what to do. My thoughts are with him and I hope he’s able to find comfort in his memories and the good times they shared.

Betty, thank you so much. We sure did have some great times together as he was the best friend a guy could ask for. He was just so incredibly sweet natured.. I surely hope Julio will not have to go through what I saw Remington have to deal with. Talk to a good vet early on. There are now numerous medicines available to help correct these things when caught early on, as I have now found out in hindsight. I am also sorry that you had trouble at my site. Not sure what happened.
