Blogging for money

I’ve been asked many times by many bloggers what I would do if I could make enough money off my blog alone. Well, first of all, obviously I’d blog. I’d also probably come up with a lot of interesting content as well. The question is, how would I make money off of my blog?

One method that quite a few bloggers have told me is a sure fire way to make some money (not all) is through Pay Per Post. It’s a very neat concept, Really. Basically you get paid per blog post about whatever advertiser that you select. If you’re lucky, and you have a good ranking with Google or Alexa, then you can make some Really good money. It’s all about blog marketing.

High scoring websites will be able to get the Really good deals that could potentially give you $100 per post. Now that’s what I call making money. But you Really need to get your popularity up to get the Really good opportunities. I’m trying my best to get ranking going, and currently, I’m a pagerank of 5 on Google, whatever that means. How much money have I made with Pay Per Post? None yet, but you know what, when I earn some money from making posts, I’ll probably have to treat myself out to something. I’m just not sure what yet.

  1. I used to do PayPerPost on my old blog and it went pretty well. Nothing I could retire on but it was good extra money. I signed up with my current blog but haven’t done anything with it yet.

    Love the new look!

  2. I don’t mind PPP as long as you don’t start sounding like a commercial. I actually click on the links too because I am nice like that, even though I know it doesn’t effect you?  Or does it?  Do you get like a bonus or anything?

  3. I don’t think I could sound like a commercial if i wanted to. I have my own stupid way of talking, so… :P

Yeah I don’t think I get anything extra for clicking on the links, but no reason not to! :P

  4. I love your new layout! I see you finally decided to take the PPP plunge. Actually, some of the advertisers do look at how many clicks your site produces and rate your tacks accordingly. It always helps.
