Well, I wanted to do a weekend update, but it was pretty boring. Well, actually Sunday wasn’t bad. Saturday, we just went around to various stores. Looking for a Wii. Of course there were none. Which makes me want to tell you about the Best Buy ordeal.
Walking into Best Buy, we look around, and after getting accosted by many employees on whether or not everything was ok, which it was, I decided to ask: “So, do you have any Wii’s?” To which the employee in question said, “Not right now, but we’re getting some on the 1st.” Cool the 1st is Sunday. Ok, so I decided to head in at 10am to get one.
Obviously, I should have asked that employee what month because when I went in, not only were there no Wii’s, but the very helpful employee I asked looked it up in the computer. “No, we don’t even have any on order right now. I think we’ll be getting some in a couple weeks.” Holy crap. I was played for a fool by a Best Buy employee. I promise, if I see that kid again, I’m going to let him know what’s up. And I might just kick him in the balls. Not quite sure. I was pissed at that guy.
The day gets better. So it’s like 10:15, I was hungry, and I knew McD’s had breakfast still. So I go across the way to McDonald’s and there’s a long line for the drive through. At least 15 cars, no exaggeration. So I decide to go inside. Come to find out, there are about 10 people standing around, wandering aimlessly, waiting for their food. There is no one to help at the counter, because they’re too busy trying to help one person who must have had the monster order since there were like 5 people with her. One lady mentions that she’s been waiting for at least 20 minutes.
Oh no, I’m not having any of that. So I’m leaving. By the time I get to my the drive through has pretty much cleared up. Then it hit me. I was pretty sure that the drive through has priority over those inside. I know it’s sad, but I bet that’s how it is. And so I waited. And you know what. 5 minutes later I had my Sausage Biscuit with Egg meal. At least something went good.
Later on in the day, we did a day of Movie, dinner, and bowling (league night). We went to go see Premonition. It was ok. I think I should have stuck with the advice of “wait till DVD”.
We were going to go eat at a sushi restaurant, but come to find out, it’s closed on Sunday. Oh well, so we decided to hit the mall and have mall food. I had Thai, and it wasn’t bad. But I was hungry afterwards pretty quickly.
Bowling was the usual crap. But I bowled above average. Not bad at all. Last week I did get a 201, so I guess I can’t Really complain.
All in all, it was a pretty typical weekend.

Well, I can’t say for sure about that Best Buy, but I know at ours we’re still getting our Wiis on drop ship. That means that we don’t actually know when we’re getting them in. They just show up.
Yeah, I think I’ve pretty much given up (again) on buying the wii. I’ve got too many other things I’d like to do.
I can get ya a wii. I have secret connections.
And yeah…premonition…told ya so.
I hate it when people say things when they don’t know if it’s true. When I was looking for a digital camera last summer, a Best Buy salesman told me the cameras do not come with any memory. Turns out to be false, it came a small stick but it gave me the opportunity to figure how much and what speed memory I need.
Oh, man, I can sympathize with your Wii quest. I had a similar, almost completely unsuccessful quest, looking for a 2nd Wii remote. Not fun.
