New Tagline contest

Ok, so I’ve been thinking, and I’m thinking that it’s just about time to change the look on this site. But more importantly, I’m Really thinking of changing the tagline. I’ve had quite a few taglines over the years…

“New, Improved, faster acting Yoshi, with the power of citrus!”

“Yoshi, the real thing”

“Souls polished, 1 served.”

That’s just to name a few in the recent year. So I’d like to ask people throw suggestions! Anyone have an idea for a tagline? Put it in the comments.

The winner will get something cool. I’m not sure what the prize will be yet. But there will definitely be a lot of linky love and pimping going on. If you have suggestions for a prize, then leave it in the comments too. Let’s keep it somewhat reasonable though. :D

Is it Friday yet?

So, this week, get this. My keyboard stopped working. I took it out, replaced with another one, worked great. That was yesterday.

My phone stopped working. It wouldn’t turn on. I thought the charge was gone. Nope. Charge says complete. Still turns off immediately after turning on. Decide to head to the Sprint store to see what’s up. On the way there, I decide to turn it on. It stays on. I change the screensaver from the animated matrix code background to something else. It’s working fine now. Go figure. That was yesterday.

I wake up today to my computer turned off. I never turn it off. I turn it on. Nothing happens. Turn it on again. Still nothing happens. Troubleshoot it and lo behold, my power supply decides to die on me. I run out to Best Buy (because that’s the best we have in this area unless I want to drive to Tacoma or Seattle) and get a new power supply. Holy crap, when did they get so expensive? It’s working fine now. I guess I should have upgraded my power supply when I bought this Core 2 Duo. I’ll keep that in mind next time. I should probably also replace my case fans. just in case they’re getting ready to expire too, although why would they right?

Oh, and I hooked up my keyboard again, just to be sure it’s Really broken? Yeah. It works fine now. WTF?

Is it Friday yet?

Getting ready for the blogathon

Well, I’m getting ready for the blogathon. I’m not quite sure if I’m going with the same plan that I did last year of having no plan, but regardless, I’m sure it will be a lot of fun.

Borrowing Kat’s idea of moblogging the entire time, I’ll probably moblog a few entries here and there, just to break up the monotony of staying at home all day. Danalyn suggested blogging from all the Starbucks. Which, if I were to go to all the Starbucks in the area, I’m sure I could post from one every half hour. I’ve also been tossing around the idea of writing some fiction. Still not sure about this just yet.

I’m also taking suggestions on incentives for sponsorship. Last year I didn’t have too many incentives except for matching donations made. Anyone have any ideas on what to do for that? What would make you sponsor me in the blogathon? (aside from posting Really good posts.)

For those of you who may not know, my charity this year is the same as last year, which is Susan G. Komen for the Cure. I’m blogging for a cure for a friend who passed away last year, who was a breast cancer survivor. For those of you who plan to sponsor me, thank you very much!

Happy Anniversary to us!

Today is our 2nd Anniversary. So here’s congratulations to me and Meesh! :) I can’t say I’ve ever been happier.

That is all. Move along and resume your normally scheduled Monday.

Google Reader

So is anyone else having issues with google reader today? It’s just acting all wonky for me. I just can’t live without it though to manage my RSS subscriptions.

How many of you folk use it? I used to use FeedDemon and Netnewswire, however it just became cumbersome to use separate programs on windows and mac, when I could use google reader on either.

Zune…

Ok so lately, for some odd reason or another, I’ve been considering buying a Zune. Anyone have any experiences with this? What makes it better than an iPod? I’d love to hear what people have to say about it.

Upcoming Blogathon

So the next Blogathon is coming up on July 28, 2007. I will be participating. I will be blogging for Susan G. Komen for the Cure, so get your checkbooks ready. :P Seriously though, sponsors are very greatly appreciated!

This year, the plan is once again to have no plan. There might be some topics to cover, one site I thought had a Really great idea, discussing Harry Potter, since the movie and the last book is coming out next month. Also, I thought it would be pretty cool to set up the webcams again this year, much like we did last year. (we meaning Melanie and Danalyn) I think I’d love to get a lot more into it so we can all have a 24 hour party. It would be fun! (this year, I will remember to use black and white like Danalyn because you look a LOT better in black and white after 12 hours or so.)

Sign ups for the blogathon start on July 1st. You’ll be able to sponsor and/or sign up to blog then.

What’s been going on?

Well, a few things have been going on. Perhaps you’ve heard about the numerous bomb threats to our local high school. They finally caught the kid. What’s up with these kids nowadays?

Meesh finally got her Mini Cooper. It’s pretty slick! And as I hear so many people say, “it’s Really cute!”

We got new cellphones. Samsung SPH-M610. They’re pretty slick. I’ve spent many hours on funformobile.com downloading/creating/uploading ringtones for it. Who needs the iphone? :P Although I have to learn how to make better videos, because… this one is pretty poor.

I’m also considering opening a fiction website and plan on writing again. Look for it. Soon. Promise. Really.
