Do what? Hana-what? Hanazakari no Kimitachi e. It’s the title of a Japanese Dorama I’m currently watching. It basically translates to “For You in Full Blossom”. Yeah, I know it doesn’t Really make sense but it’s a literal translation. It’s bascially about this girl who lives goes to an all-boy high school in japan, to stay with an athlete she comes to idolize and realizes she loves. The girl in question is portrayed by Horikita Maki. I love watching this particular dorama because I’m Totally in love with high shcool doramas. Possibly because I didn’t get to go to to high school in a japanese school I suppose.
I know, the story sounds familiar right? There have been so many of these stories. One of my favourites is still “She’s the Man” with Amanda Bynes. I’m just an Amanda Bynes fan, what can I say? Anyways, back to Hana Kimi (the shorter much better nickname of this drama).
Honestly, how can these movies/shows be believable. Especially if they live together in the same dorm room, as is done in this show. I mean, if you just LOOKED at the “guy”, you could probably tell that he was Really a she. There are things that you would notice wouldn’t you? What do you think? Is it possible for girls to pose as guys in high school?

I dunno how they would make it believable. I mean, if she is high school age, she would be uhm…womanly and have uhm….womanly times and the need for err…womanly things a few days a month, right? You’d think the roommate or whatever would see a package of these womanly things and figure it out.
Yoshi, you really need to get out more
What about Just One of the Guys with Joyce Hyser!? I still remember that as one of the first times,as a young boy, I saw breasts.
I don’t know about believeable. There have been many occasions throughout History where women have pretended to be boys or young men in order to get an education, particularly where they were excluded because they were not deemed “able”. They seemed to manage to hide their feminity, and I suppose if you are of slight build and the clothes being somewhat heavier than they were today it would have been easier. But you would be amazed at what you can do with some bandages if you aren’t particularly, erm, large ;-)
i like this drama.
