Quantum of Solace

“Quantum of Solace” will be the next (22nd) Bond film, coming out this November 7 as revealed by producers outside of Pinewood Studios in London.

Daniel Craig is back as James Bond, continuing right after Casino Royale. Of course, I’m guessing that we’ll have to get around to actually watching Casino Royale since the DVD has been sitting there for ages waiting to be watched. As a matter of a fact, I don’t think I’ve taken the plastic wrapping off of it yet.

Mathieu Amalric will be the Bond villian, and Olga Kurylenko will be the Bond girl.

Virgin Galactic Tourist Spaceship Design Unveiled

SpaceShipTwo

So today, I read up about Virgin Galactic’s new SpaceShipTwo. From the article: “Virgin Galactic is offering tickets aboard SpaceShipTwo spaceliners for an initial price of about $200,000, though Branson said the cost is expected to drop after the first five years of operations.”

I don’t know about you, but even after the first five years, I’m thinking that the price will only go down to half that amount, making it about $100,000. The idea that we will have a Space tourist attraction is very exciting though.

Let’s hope they get the safety aspects of the flight (which is expected to be about 2 hours), under control. I’m pretty sure I would never want to be the first to go up if they’re not sure if it will really be safe.

This is so exciting!

Do you believe in miracles?

I do. So does Ryan. He’s currently recovering over an accident he had this last weekend. It’s quite amazing he’s still alive. Feel free to stop on over there and send him some love. The truck doesn’t look like it’s going to make it though. Too bad, he really loved that truck!

Heath Ledger passed away today?

Wow. I’d like to know more details, but the story is still developing. Check out the CNN developing article.

Apparently he was found dead in his NYC apartment by his maid. He was in cardiac arrest, who can know why, really. They’re saying that there were pills around his bed, but there was no “foul play”.

It’s totally sad.

I really loved him in A Knight’s Tale, as horrible as everyone thought it was. I thought it was a fun movie, but I’ve always been different.

I am really looking forward to him as the Joker in the new Batman movie.

Too bad he won’t be able to enjoy the premiere. So sad, so young. He was only 28!

UPDATED: Apparently, because of the pills by his bed, which were over the counter sleeping pills, it’s being looked upon as an overdose. That’s too bad. Although I can’t imagine what else it could be at this point.

Cloverfield

Saw Cloverfield. Wow. I won’t give out any spoilers, but if you’ve got questions, I might answer you in email if you leave a comment. But honestly, you should probably go see it unless you’re really prone to motion sickness. (i.e. if Blair Witch Project made you sick, this probably will too.) It’s compared a lot to Blair Witch, only because of the camera work was similar.

I like to think that this was a love story, which happened to have a thirty story tall monster in it. seriously.

New Year’s Resolutions

2 posts in one day? Say it isn’t so!

So I don’t have many resolutions this year. Well, maybe I do…

  1. Take more photos
  2. Exercise more
  3. Get healthier
  4. Buy a house
  5. Clean up all my old stuff and get rid of it.

I think that just about sums it up. I of course have quit smoking, so I don’t have to put quit smoking on my list anymore. And if you’re curious, I’ve been smoke free for 2 years and 3 months. But you know, I still want a smoke every now and then.

What resolutions did you make if any?

Why is it so hard?

Why is it so hard to make an entry? I mean seriously it’s been so long since I made a post. I guess it’s because a) I’ve been sick. b) I’m too lazy. c) all the above.

So seriously, while back on vacation, I did get to see a few folk I have not seen in ages. I also missed a few people, and forgot to get pictures of some people while we visited too. Bad photographer! But I did manage to get some good pics of the Statue of Liberty as seen in a previous post.

But that’s about it for now. I don’t want to make this post a complaining post, so I think I’ll have to stop here.

Oh, and who’s been watching American Idol? I hear the ratings are down, and you know what, that doesn’t surprise me. Aren’t we all tired of that show already?

So cool!

Statue of Liberty and Jesus

DSC_0561.JPG

DSC_0561.JPG,
originally uploaded by psychodaisy.

So, everywhere we go, we have to take pictures of action-figure Jesus. So here we are at the Statue of Liberty after a long wait and ferry trip. The day turned out great, however, and we were thankful that it didn’t rain like the weather man said.

But this picture captured the moment pretty perfectly I thought. So awesome!

If not for that fence post (which went all the way around the statue btw) this would have been just about the most perfect picture ever.
