Gary Gygax, Dungeons & Dragons creator, dies

Dungeons & Dragons Dice
Perhaps you don’t follow the same circles I do, or care about the old school Role Playing Games (RPG’s), so you might not have heard that Gary Gygax, Dungeons & Dragons creator, died. While a lot of you are thinking, “who?” I am struck with a bit of anguish. I remember as a kid playing this game. I loved it, and instantly fell in love.

I remember the original softcover Dungeon & Dragon Manuals, of which if I recall correctly, there was only 2, the Dungeon Master’s guide and the Player’s manual.

Gary Gygax was also known as the father of the RPG, and I have to admit that his ideas influenced many games today, even the video games of which you know of.

It’s a sad loss to the RPG Community.
