Sign at Mt. Rainier park

You’re probably wondering what I found so different about this sign. Well, I just thought that the “no weapons” was kind of an obvious thing and quite the “duh” thing to list. But I know with some people you have to stress it. But yeah, I saw this sign at a waterfall on the way up to Paradise at Mt. Rainier. Very pretty area.

  1. I get a kick out of this kinda thing too…why even your hand can become a lethal weapon with the right training.

Mine's posted…stop by and see if you can figure it all out!!

  2. You would be surprised. Working with the rangers as National Park Volunteers the last three summers, we have heard some rather interesting exchanges on the two way radios we carry while on the trails. We have even helped in intervening with visitors who had been doing some very dangerous activities , engaging them in conversation until the law enforcement ranger could arrive. We will spend a lot of time in the park again this summer. We are at Sunrise a couple of times a month.

  3. Great sign & I agree about the weapon issue~you wouldn't think anyone would do that but these days, you just don't ever know! Thanks for visiting my blog today & commenting :)
