I agree that its always a hurtful thing when someone you love is sick.

Good thing though it has been done, as the infection in the gums goes right into the bloodstream and that's not alright.

Kitty will get used to it this post-surgery period, and Mommy needs to be cool, calm, and collected to be supportive!
Good Luck!

Awww poor kitty. I know how it feels, OC had to have all but his canines pulled out all at once. He loves us though...and we only just now (since 2003) got to stop giving him meds every other day. She'll get used to it, and honestly, if you try notto be stressed out when you're medicating her, it'll be better. They sense your stress, so you may be putting yourselves in a stress spiral. :) Just console yourself by remembering that you're doing this because you love her. :)

Poor, poor kitteh.

Giving meds does suck, especially when they get wise to it.

I feel sorry for your cat too. Mostly because it's named Precious though. Seriously?
Anyway, I know it sucks giving animals medicine and luckily Muse usually does it. If the cat goes crazy after a while, try wrapping it up tight in a towel so it can't claw your arms off. Of course what happens when you fall asleep is another matter.

I am afraid you have two options. And trust me, after taking care of a cancerous cat, I know.

1.Trick her, with the old here sweety sweety we have nothing trick. Then, you must must must grab her around her jaw and shoot the medicine in. She will hate it, but she will fall for it over and over again.

2.Put the medicine in her food, especially if it is wet. Eventually, they need to eat and wahalla

Sorry to hear about Precious! I've had to administer meds a lot, being a petsitter, and one thing that helps me get through what seems like torture, is the fact that the meds DO make them feel better. Deep breaths. this too shall pass and everyone will be in love again. :)

I feel for you both. We've been there with our cat a time or two and it truly sucks. Fortunately your cat will still love you when it's all over.

I'm utterly horrible when it comes to doing things like administer medicine and such. It makes me feel so guilty.

Aww, poor Precious! I wish her a speedy recovery :)

Giving animals medicine is never fun. I had to give Xoie medicine like, 3 times a day for a week and man it sucked. She still loves me though, and Precious will still love you guys :)

Oh, the poor kitty! That must suck a lot! I've never had any teeth pulled out so I can't imagine what it feels like but I'm overdue to have my wisdom teeth checked again. Let's hope they're coming out okay and I won't have to take them out because seriously, I can't handle pain in my mouth.

That does not explain why I had my tongue pierced but my mind works in mysterious ways... I hope you won't have to give her meds for much longer and that she'll be fine and pain-free soon.
