That is really sad that it took a death for people to sit up and take notice. But honestly, isn't that how pretty much every reform works in the States?
Actually it's worse… she wasn't in a waiting room… she was in the holding area of the psychiatric ER… so she was a patient who had a chart and was supposed to be checked on by a nurse.
Hence why I wouldn't bring anyone to that hell hole if I could avoid it.
shit like this just makes me sit here and wonder just HOW much worse things will get over the years you know? I mean damn.

@cybrpunk yeah it's really sad. I hate it. As a former EMT and healthcare worker, I'm just ashamed.
@nycwd yeah, it's really sad. I just don't get it. I've worked on a psych ward before and while it can get bad, you just don't do that. That's just crazy. I'm so mad at healthcare people right now.
@ocb hopefully they won't get worse, but you're right, how much worse will it get before it gets better? so sad that we have to even ask that question!
