Wanted to let everyone know that I am currently in the hospital due to a stroke which happened early Sunday morning because of high blood pressure.  So, it will be pretty quiet around here for about a week or so and um, don’t stress me out man. 

P.S.  Or you’ll have to answer to Meesh

  2. omg, aren't you kind of young for a stroke?? i hope everything is ok. my dad had a stroke last year…it was quite the scare. he has pretty much recovered now though.

  12. You know…I feel kinda bad suggesting you order pizza the other night lol.

    I got an IM from Dana telling me the news and my heart dropped so I thought hey..wonder if meesh posted anything. But then you did hah. You know you don't have to post once a day under the circumstances right?! ;)

    Ok so feel better right? Watch the crappy hospital TV and play on the DS and just..heal.

    Oh and don't scare me like this anymore!!

    I was thinking bout posting on my site, but I just didn't know how to do it. Then Yoshi said, "I (meaning him) need to post something on my site to let them know what happened."

    So, that was collaborative post.

    TUESDAY UPDATE: He's still in Critical Care Unit, but we are hopeful that he will be moved to a regular room later today. He's seen quite a few doctors, nurses and therapists — with a few to come (I think).

    He is getting better daily! His strength is good, he's able to move his arms and legs, blood pressure getting under control along with his blood sugar. The only noticeable is that his speech is slurred (but even that has improved) and his balance is pretty much out of wack. But, the way things have been going so far, he'll be up and at em at no time at all!

    However, he'll be stuck with Nurse Ratchet (that's me) for awhile. LOL, as I'm going to try to take off as much time as I can to be with him and help. He's pretty much stuck with me for awhile!

  20. I guess you should change your license plate from "RAMEN" to "LOSODIUM." Seriously, that's some scary shit. I hope you're feeling better and I hope you still have control over both sides of your body – especially the backside.

  21. Tell him we all wish him to get well very soon and that we miss him already. The blogosphere is very self-centred, you know. We need him back for our Yoshi fix.

    Seriously, though, I hope he gets better very very VERY soon. *hugs both*

  24. Meesh if you need anything please don't hesitate to ask. Just don't ask me for rice because I make it in a bag and Yoshi would never forgive me. I mean who makes rice in a bag!?! lol

  34. A few things:

    1) Ischemic or hemmorhagic?
    2) Any lingering effects?
    3) Don't you dare refuse PT, OT, and Speech Therapy.
    4) Swallowing OK?
    5) Go slow, OK? You need to build up your balance and strength.
    6) Don't get frustrated – focus on getting better.
    7) Don't try to get out of bed without help for the time being OK?
    8) Aggrenox, Plavix, Coumadin, or aspirin?
    9) You gave me an aneurysm with this news!
