My view from my hospital room The cat? why?
Jul 16

First of all I want to thank everyone for their sentiments. Second of all, I want to say I have still managed to blog continuously. :D

Yes I had a stroke.

Yes it was hemmorhagic. Meaning I had a small bleed at the base of my brain. The brain stem.

Yes I dodged a bullet. Call me Neo. I was real lucky.

The neurologist thinks I will make a 100% recovery. He reminded me of House, so I believe him.

I am now in rehab, doing physical, occupational, and speech therapy.

Yes, I have slur. Anyone that remembers how I talked when I got my tongue pierced will remember that.

Yes, I am happy for my survival. I will thank God and my cat everyday.

Yes, I am doing better.

Seriously, brain stem?!?!? OMG. You are incredibly lucky that you have an excellent prognosis of recovery. I hope you are investing in a medic-alert bracelet, have a list of your meds in your wallet, and take good care of yourself – lemme stress, VERY GOOD CARE of yourself, from this point on. I trust Meesh will look after you well, but if you don’t listen, I will go all naggy Korean nurse who works on a stroke floor on you!
