I remember back in Hawaii, we lived out on the west end of the island, and there was only ONE major highway that took us in and out to the rest of the island...of course, this was along the edge of the island, right on the shore...so whenever storms would get bad and raise the surf, the roads would get flooded and covered with walls of sand, so yeah...know how that goes. Wow. That sucks.
