Supernatural Season 6

Supernatural, a show about two brothers who happen to be hunters of a different sort, is now in its 6th season. For Sam and Dean Winchester, life has never been quite “normal”, whatever that may be.

For those of you who have not seen or heard about this series, I will have to let you know that there will be spoilers in this post, and I warn you not to read this entire post if you’re interested in seeing the series.

I do recommend seeing the series in its entirety from the beginning, as many story plot lines depend on what has happened before. While they do show a review of what’s happened before in some episodes, it’s not quite the same if you haven’t seen the actual show. So from here, I will cut the post in half and spoilers are after the bump. If you’re reading from an RSS reader, you might see the whole post, and for that I apologize, it’s a shortcoming of WordPress.

—————-==========Warning: Spoilers ahead============————

So the 6th season finds Sam out of the trap holding Lucifer. Or so we can assume. As Dean is pulled out of his peaceful family life, he realizes there’s something not quite right about Sam. Confronting him doesn’t seem to work, and talking about Sam to Bobby only ends up them helping Bobby get his soul back. (A good thing)

I’m not entirely sure what’s going on with Sam. I haven’t look around the internet about theories of what’s going with him. I don’t know if I’m just too lazy to look around the internet or if I just don’t want to know what everyone else is thinking. Regardless, I don’t think I like the storyline for Sam.

It really seems like the roles of Dean and Sam are reversed. Sam is acting like Dean and vice-versa. What is up with those two? I almost like the new Dean, but I don’t like the new Sam. At all. I just want the writers to stop what they’re doing and have Dean wake up and say, “Wow, that was a crazy dream I just had.”

Also what is going on with Samuel Campbell? (Sam and Dean’s maternal grandfather) I’m sure we’ll learn more as the season goes on, but what’s going on and why does it seem like he’s reporting to a higher power? It makes me wonder if angels are truly influencing events on earth, unlike before. It’s much like Castiel tells Sam and Dean with the civil war in Heaven. Regardless, Sam Campbell could also be reporting to a demon without knowing. Or does he? Someone pulled both Sam’s from Heaven and Hell. Who did it? Was it truly the Hand of God?

I’m afraid after this weeks episode, finding out the truth of everything will only reveal more questions than answers. We shall see. I’m really anxious to find out how things will turn out. I’m just afraid the writers will major fail without Kripke standing out of this season.
