Disqus Comments

As you may or may not have noticed, I’ve decided to implement Disqus Comments. I’m Really still on the fence about this. But I wanted it easier for Facebook users to comment on this site. I’m still working on implementing a “login with Facebook” for the entire site, but haven’t gotten to that point yet with this site. I’d like to hear your opinions about Disqus, so I’ve opened an easy poll, just 2 clicks, no commenting required, but if you have any opinions, please express them! You can also login using Twitter as well.

Should I keep Disqus Comments?

100 Facts in 100 Days – Fact 34

34. I’m very emotional. Yes, yes, can this even be a fact? But it’s true. When we watch movies and japanese drama and such, I get emotional, and yes, I might start to tear up. Watching Oprah, Ellen, the News, it can put me to tears. I think I’ve been known to tear up when watching Supernatural too. It’s not exactly the type of show to bring the tears with all the hunting and monsters. So are you a crybaby like me?

I really need to update this site

So the site is in a serious need of an update. Well, I’m here to tell you that I’d like to change a few things around here and I’m thinking of doing a “reboot”. The domain will still stay the same, but I’m in progress of thinking what is important to me. I may just drop the entire “hello!” network and stick with just hello! yoshi and hello!Photo. I guess the biggest reason for keeping my photo site is just because I Really like the template there and don’t want to Really change it. But I’ve got plans to somehow incorporate those type of photolog posts into the future hello! yoshi site. Will it happen? Who can say.

Other than that, things have been going pretty normal around here. I’m as healthy as I possibly can be, and as of yet, there’s no plans for any more operations or “upgrades” to this body. This is a good thing!

I’ve got some big plans for a lot of things. Some I’ll finish, some I’ll just put on the back-burner. Others I’ll probably forget about. I know you’re Really excited to see what I’m going to do.

Taylor’s Gift

There was a segment on the Today Show I watched on NBC that Really touched me. It was about a girl who ended up donating her organs and in turn, saved 5 lives. As a kidney transplant recipient myself, I am Really touched when I hear something like this happening. On the segment, you meet her parents, and another special person, the recipient of her heart. Very touching.

Find out how you can donate your organs and become a lifesaver as well at her website.

You can find the Today Show story here.

In case you didn’t know

I have to say the one year of my kidney transplant came and went last July 29th. I’ve been doing pretty good since. I guess the power of current medical technology is something else. Since the one year mark, things have been going pretty much ok. There are a few things which need to be resolved, but I’m sure things will work out eventually. I’m officially a permanent handicapper now, so I can get all the cool spots and actually be legal about it. It’s surprisingly easy to get a handicap decal. My doctor sent me a form, I signed it and turned it in and just like that I had 2 decals. Crazy I know.

I’ve also been experiencing a lot more pain from the neuropathy. I mean a lot more pain. They’re pretty much in my hands as well as my feet, and there are some days where it’s just take your breath away unbearable. My shoulder has been Really killing me lately from tendonitis in the bicep and rotator cuff. Or something like that. Just another one of those things to chalk up on the board. If my medical record was transcribed onto paper, I swear it would probably be about 6 inches thick. Don’t laugh, I’ve seen medical records that thick. I did work in a hospital when we didn’t have computer medical records, you know.

What will tomorrow bring? Good weather I hope.
