Why I’m waiting to buy the iPhone 5

Aside from the fact that I’m too cheap to break my contract with AT&T, I’m just not really impressed with the hardware. Going with past performance, I know I’m going to hear someone complain about the new screen size. How it’s taller, but not wider.

Then there will be performance issues with the A6 processor. I can already predict that it will not be as battery efficient as they say and that the iPhone will be even hotter than ever.

There are a few things I’m really glad they did though. iOS 6 will be something to look forward to. There should be some really good changes. I hope. I just wonder how many “hidden” updates and changes there will be. We all know, Apple slips them by us every time.

I think I’ll wait for the next version, or perhaps go full on Android in the future. I’m just not sure. I’ve learned never to buy anything 1.0. Better to wait for the version that fixes all the broken stuff. Maybe I’ll hold out for the iPhone 5S. What do you think?

We’ll see when my contract is up with AT&T. I’m hoping to change providers too. Any suggestions on who to go with?

What cellphone provider do you prefer?

I’m getting the new iPhone, mainly because I need a new one. I currently have a 3GS and it has a small crack in the back and the battery doesn’t hold much of a charge anymore. I’ve been counting the days for the iPhone 5 to come out. I will also be changing from AT&T to Verizon which I don’t want to do (I’m grandfathered in for unlimited data) but the reception at my new house is just horrible.

Well in that case you should update! Before we got the 4S, we had a 3GS and were hounded on updating to either droid or at least the new 4S. Yeah the 3GS is good, but it’s getting old and a small crack in the back definitely constitutes an upgrade! it will be 200 with a 2 yr contract, typical of all iPhones now.

You mean you’re not going to buy an iPhone 5? Shocking!
