So last weekend, we went and saw the movie Up. We went to see it in 3D. I have to admit that it wasn’t anything special in 3D. But I thought it was a pretty good movie. It gave you the feel good feeling at the end. And no, I won’t give away any spoilers.
If you’ve like Pixar movies in the past, this one will be no exception, you’ll probably like it. It’s very cute, very touching and of course very entertaining. It does have a short in the beginning, just like all Pixar flicks, and it was pretty funny.
You’ve definitely gotta check it out. I give it a 4 out of 5 stars.

Today is the day that I am finally removing the perm catheter from my shoulder. To say that I’m grateful is an understatement. This means I’ll be able to take a REAL shower (instead of a semi shower and spongebath), the first one in about 6 months. This is such a relief. I’m so happy!
You may have noticed a somewhat new feature on the right sidebar. (the only sidebar lol) I’ve added a linkroll, which is really my delicious.com bookmarks. It’s just a list of the latest 5 links I’ve found interesting. I’d like to say it’s something like girlrobots friday links, except it’s not only on friday and it’s not a post. Kinda like a quickie update. (Similar to my mini-posts I used to have) As for the miniposts, I’m working on getting those back. Because really, the overheards are probably some of the funniest stuff I’ve read on here.
Speaking of Fridays, I plan to again open up Free For All Friday this month. If you don’t know what that is, it’s basically a chance for you to make a post on this site. What’s the big deal, right? Well, since FFAF is all about pimping your site, it’s a real good chance to get some links to your own site (or any site) and to also get some new readers. I’m working on the logistics of how to do it, and will keep you posted. (provided I remember!) Any wordpress users out there who have done FFAF please feel free to share with me how you do it. Do you create a special account? Or do you make everyone make their own account?

I know what you’re thinking. You can’t possibly be OCD right? Because you’re messy. But OCD doesn’t mean being a notorious clean freak. That’s not it. OCD is Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. It means you are obsessive about a certain thing. It doesn’t necessarily mean cleanliness. Because that’s sure not me. I’ve calmed down quite a bit since I’ve been married to Meesh thank goodness. Here’s some examples of my OCDness before and now:
- (before) All food boxes had to face the same way. I was really obsessive about this. I would totally organize my cabinets and everything would face the same way and be in categories. I sorted all my canned goods and boxed dry goods. Crazy I know
- (somewhat now) Food can’t touch. I’ve really calmed down on this one. But in general, you’ll see maybe 2 or 3 items on my plate because food on my plate cannot touch. Some foods (like corn and mashed potatoes) are ok to touch because they go well together. But I will freak out sometimes if food is touching.
- (now) Before I cook anything in the kitchen, I must clean all the dishes. All the dishes should be cleaned anyways, but if there’s one thing that’s dirty, I will feel the need to clean it before I do any cooking. Strange right?
- (now) Wet socks must die! I cannot stand wet socks. I will walk around barefoot on lava before I wear wet socks. That is just gross! Actually, this applies to all clothes. I hate wetness. And yes, ironically I hate being in the rain. But I love being in water like the pool or showers. I just hate wet clothes.
So those are just some of the OCD things I have. I have a few more but I’m just too lazy to list them. If laziness is OCD I’m definitely it.
Tell me your OCDness!

So Mother’s Day is upcoming. What do you have planned? My mom is having one of her friend’s visit, so she’ll be up in Vancouver visiting over the weekend. So we’re celebrating it early for her, and we’re going out to dinner tomorrow. Consequently, it looks like we’re taking Meesh’s mom out to the same restaurant, for lunch the next day! How funny. That place must be real popular with mom’s. It certainly is popular with ours!
Other than that, it looks like nothing else is planned. Just spending time with them is always good.
In other news, my sister is coming to visit, mainly because she’s got a bunch of tests to do at University of Washington for the kidney workup. Basically they need to verify and make sure that she’s a match to me and that she’s in perfect health to give me her kidney. Sounds like it’s a jam packed tiring day. We’re planning of spending the whole day in Seattle, should be a lot of fun. Sounds like a lot of sitting around and waiting though.

So I realized that my contract really expires on 6/1/09 instead of 8/24/09, so it looks like we’re getting the iPhone a bit sooner than I think. I know that it’s about the same time as the iPhone 3.0 update, and I don’t think there’s any new hardware (that I know of). So it looks like we’re going with AT&T instead, hail to the Empire! Don’t think I’m hating on verizon. I’ve got a wireless data plan with them, and they work great for me. Nothing like being able to connect to the net no matter where I go. (not that we do much traveling mind you.)
So that’s an update.

So I’ve been having a dilemma lately on what to do once our contract expires with Sprint. I’ve been with Sprint for almost ten years now, (although they won’t say that) and I’ve been a pretty loyal customer of them. But I think I might need to break away from them and go with someone else. I’ve been contemplating either Verizon Wireless or AT&T (iPhone). I know there are others out there like T-Mobile but I know that Meesh doesn’t like T-Mobile at all, so it’s definitely out.
That leaves only Verizon and AT&T. (that I know of that are any good.)
Right now, they’re both looking good. But I want to know what you guys think. The biggest thing AT&T has over Verizon in my mind is rollover minutes. But is that included with an iPhone plan? Do I have to specifically sign up for rollover? I know this is a question for the people at the stores, but I’d thought I’d ask, since I know a lot of you have iPhones.
So let me start off with what we need. We’re simple people and we don’t need much. But there are things we definitely need:
- cell to cell unlimited. If we’re on a family talk plan, I’d expect to never pay for any calls to each other. If there’s an additional fee involved, if it’s small, that’s ok, since we’re doing that now. Of course, in our case, if the called person has Sprint we don’t pay at all. (this is good)
- Some kind of text messaging that’s good. Right now, we have 300 txt messages a month to each other. That’s quite a bit for us, I think we actually use about 50% to 60% of it now.
- Unlimited data goes without saying. I think both companies provide that. But no one actually says that.
Other than that the phone is pretty easy. I mean iPhone versus another smartphone (most likely blackberry if we go with verizon I think).
Any opinions? Suggestions?

If you didn’t know already, today is Meesh’s birthday. Why not go on over to her site and wish her a Happy Birthday? She’s going to be 29 years old! I just don’t know how I got so lucky to be with a girl like her. She’s my anchor and my strength. I literally don’t know what I’d do without her. I consider myself very lucky and very fortunate. Happy Birthday honey!

So someone told me that it’s St. Patrick’s Day. I hope you guys are having a good day and you’re wearing your green so you don’t get pinched!

Ok so last night Meesh and I had a shot of Yagermeister to bring in the New Year. That was good. Now, 2009 is officially here and well, so far it’s not so bad. Well, it is only the first day after all. As for resolutions, I told myself I wouldn’t do those, because they’re normally things I should always do (happiness to the world, doing more good each day and just typical stuff) and I don’t want to have to break the resolutions.
But, one thing I plan to do is post regularly on a regular basis. It’s one thing that I recall Tiggerprr saying about her blog. She wanted to get back into it.
