Blogathon 2007 begins!
So if you didn’t already know, Blogathon 2007 is officially open for sign ups. If you have not signed up to blog, now’s the time!
As normal, I will be blogging for Susan G. Komen for the Cure, and would love to get your sponsorship. But allow me to explain why I am blogging for the cure.
1 year ago to this day, we lost our dear dear friend to a horrible motorcycle accident. While riding down a steep road while riding her motorcycle, a truck pulled out in front of her, not seeing her, and she ran into it head on. Today is a truly sad day, as it marks the 1 year anniversary of her death. It doesn’t even seem so long ago, sometimes it only seems like yesterday. Regardless, all my blogging is dedicated to Jen, who was a cancer survivor.
When she was going through treatments, she never looked depressed, she never looked down. She was always optimistic and she always saw that the glass was half full. Jen was an inspiration to many people. I don’t think I ever heard of anyone saying anything but incredibly great things about Jen. She would light up the room instantly when she showed up. She had a knack for making people smile.
I only knew her for such a short time, but honestly, even knowing her for one day is enough to know that Jen was a very kind spirit. One you could always look up to when you needed a friend.
So I’ll be blogging again this year for 24 hours straight, every half hour, for her.
