Contest for the Non-blogathon!

Ok, since there is no blogathon this year, I need to do a contest to give away these 2 mp3 players I originally was going to give out as part of the ‘thon. So here’s the contest in easy bulleted form with rules:

      1. Make a post about one of your “most embarrassing moments in your life.” It can be anything. If you can’t think of one, then make it up.
      2. In your post, link to this entry and leave a comment telling me you did it. You’ll automatically be entered in the contest when you do so.
      3. The deadline for this contest is next Sunday. At 7/21 12:00am, no entries will be taken.
      4. If you don’t have a blog, that’s ok too! Write it up in any text editor or word processor you want, and then leave a comment and I’ll email you back with more instructions. I don’t want anyone to miss out on this!
      5. Entries will be judged by a 3 person panel, of which I am one, but I will not disclose the other 2 until the contest is over. No bribes please!
      6. The winning 2 entries will be determined by which post was the best. It can be funny, horrific, suspenseful, whatever. Just be interesting!
      7. Each entry will be appended to this post so everyone can check them out. Good luck!

      Quiet Sunday

      Nothing exciting really going on around here. Meesh is still in Wenatchee, so I’m hanging out with the cat, making sure she has company. Pretty exciting huh? LOL

      I didn’t know if you knew, but there will be no Blogathon this year, as they’re taking the year off. There is going to be an alternative, Day of Blogs, but I don’t know if I’m going to participate with that one just yet. If you’re planning on participating, let me know! I will most likely be cheering any bloggers on.

      That being said, I have 2 small 1GB MP3 players that I was going to use as prizes for the blogathon, one pink, one blue. I guess I need to get rid of these, so if anyone has a suggestion on a game or something to do give these away, let me know. I’m fresh out of ideas right now.

      No tweets lately?

      You may or may not have noticed that I’ve stopped publishing my Twitter feed at the bottom of the page. This is due for a few reasons, mostly because I want to start reducing the amount of “stuff” I am displaying on this site. I’m trying to get a redesign going for the upcoming Blogathon, and I want to streamline what’s going to be shown on the new design. It’s a lot of work you know. Yes, I am doing the Blogathon this year, and yes, I have some ideas. Apparently the organizers are changing. But that’s another post.

      Regardless, I haven’t really been tweeting much either. It’s not because of Twitter, or because I am too bored of it. Honestly, it’s mainly been because I’ve just been forgetting to go to the website. Normally I use twhirl, and well, it’s been acting really strange as of late, and it’s not running well. It keeps acting all wonky, and I’m not sure if I should blame it on the app or blame it on Adobe AIR. Who knows, regardless, it’s not working well, and I just plain have not been using it at all, which makes me ignore Twitter. Perhaps I’ll start using it again and get back onto Twitter. Especially since Jules is back to using it.

      What program (if any) do you use to keep track of your Twitter updates?
