Ok, so it’s Sunday and everything feels off because of the silly Daylights Savings Time thing. And I keep telling myself that even though it’s noon, it’s really 11am. I’ll be doing that for the next month or so I’m sure.

Anyways, I just realized that I’ve been awarded The Blog of the month award from Kailani! How cool is that? I’m not exactly sure what the criteria for awarding this is, but I’ll go ahead and pass this on to the following: KG, ocB, and Neptunebaby. I <3 them!

Ok, so today, I want to do a poll. It’s how to handle comments and how to reply to them. Here’s the dilemma: should I reply to comments by editing the comment and adding a reply to the end of it, or should I just reply via email? Or do I just comment to reply? Here’s my problem. If I reply by editing the comment, this does not necessarily go back to the person commenting, so they might never see it. If I reply by email, yes, the original commenter sees it. However, no one else does, and well, that doesn’t make it very fun to me. Then finally, if I respond by commenting, then I feel like I’m just commenting to make comments. Yes, I know I’m weird.

I’ve been noticing a bunch of new people visiting this site. I just wanted to say hello! to those lurkers out there, and invite you to stop being a lurker, or even be a part time lurker and say hello once in a while.

I know that I’m quite the lurker on many blogs, and never say anything because there are so many regulars out there who comment all the time and such. But I’m pretty sure it’s safe to say that any “regular” around here would welcome any lurkers. Unless you’re going to criticize everything I do. But that’s ok, everyone has a voice on my site. :D

You may also have noticed my password protected posts. (Ok, I only had one) Regulars usually get the password mailed to them. If you’re a lurker, you’ll never get to read those! I have to admit though, that it’s not always interesting, but you never know. Just saying.

Ok, so just wanted to let people know about how comments are done around here. First of all, if you’ve never commented here before, then your first comment will be held in moderation and it should tell you that. If not, then it comes to the second part of commenting, Akismet. Akismet probably thought your comment was spam and requires me to tell it it’s not spam. This has happened to a few of you recently. Sorry about that folks, if your comment gets eaten and it’s not showing up, please let me know!

Sometimes Akismet gets a bit too excited and flags you for spam. I’m still not sure why, but hey, what can you do. But I can’t do anything unless you tell me that your comment isn’t showing up.
