Free for all Friday, June Edition

Hi everyone, Free for all Friday is here! For those of you who want to get started right away, here is the FFAF Form. The rules are announced on that page. For those of you not familiar with Free for all Friday (henceforth known as FFAF) is where YOU can make a post on THIS site. Just like guest blogging! The form will be open for 24 hours, so make sure you visit back to view other posts by other bloggers. Feel free to pimp your site, your friends site, or whatever you’d like to do. Here are some topics for you:

  1. Current Events. Feel free to talk about any current events that are bothering you at this time.
  2. Political Race. If you feel like you want to talk about the US Presidential Race (or any other political topic) feel free.
  3. The ever popular, Writer’s Choice!

Easter Sunday

Easter EggHappy Easter folks. It’s crazy how easter falls in march. I’ve always remembered Easter falling in April. I guess I’m just old like that. Don’t overdo it today, try not to eat too much! We’re having Easter dinner at a friends house, should be fun. We got some no sugar added Pumpkin Pie. Mmm, I love me some pumpkin with Reddi Whip!

Also, if you didn’t already know, this upcoming Friday is Free-for-all Friday! For those of you not familiar with it, it’s where YOU get to post on MY blog. That’s right. You get to post whatever you want, just like a guest blogger. But it’s not really guest blogging. If that made sense, that’d be amazing. seriously, however, you will get to post on my site, and get a chance to pimp your site, your friends site, and whatever. Please, no clear cut spamming please, because it will get deleted. Get ready to post!

Leap Year Math

So, today is February 29th. Yay leap year!

I don’t know if it’s just me, but I don’t remember ever being taught that leap year had actual rules of when it happens, and that sometimes there’s not a leap year when you’d expect there to be. They were talking about some mathematical equation on the radio yesterday and the people on the radio were very confused.

So, for those of you that, like me (and by me, I mean Katie of Kat Scratch Fever and KSF To-Go), were not taught the Rules of Leap Year, I present this simple algorithm!

if year modulo 400 is 0 then leap
else if year modulo 100 is 0 then no_leap
else if year modulo 4 is 0 then leap
else no_leap

Hopefully that clears it all up for you. Happy Friday!
