Buildings burn, people die, but real love is forever.

It seems that I’ve chosen the fire thing as a theme lately trust me, this is not intentional.

As is usual, the title has nothing really to do with this post. Perhaps if there is a message, please cherish everything you have in life, and by god, all the little things make up all the big things. Cherish them all.

The other day, I was talking to Danalyn, as usual, and of course, she was working because she just works too much. Therefore I had to do her a favor and show her a pretty fun video. What it started out as was all the weird shit the Japanese people do on tv. There are other videos I found that I won’t link here because, eww, they were weird. I think I will never be the same again after watching those. And I don’t plan on it again. But there’s this one Japanese Celebrity who totally kills me, known as “Razor Ramon“. You can probably take a look at the wikipedia page I just linked, but honestly, you just can’t see how funny he is until you actually see him in action. Video after the bump. Hoooooooooo!!!

Some men just want to watch the world burn.

No I promise you that the title of this post has nothing to do with anything political or this post whatsoever. It just happens to be a quote I like from one of my favourite movies. See if you can guess who said and what movie it’s from. If you get it right you’ll get my eternal respect. Don’t cheat now.

So, while surfing the net, I came across this interesting thing, 18 shirts you should NOT wear to meet your girlfriends parents. I’ve got some good t-shirts, but these are definitely not the type to wear to meet the parents. I don’t think even I would wear those to Meesh’s parents house now. LOL There are a few t-shirts I’d like to have for myself, however: warcraft t-shirts (thanks cybr) and this one (thanks Jules).

I think I’ve managed to link pimp quite enough of people today.

Shaolin Girl

Perhaps you’ve heard of the movie Shaolin Soccer. I know you’ve heard of Kung fu Hustle. Now, there’s Shaolin Girl. Shibasaki Kou stars in this one. The trailer is in Japanese, sorry about that, but the movie is Japanese. It’s not a Stephen Chow movie, instead he was consulted on this one. It’s not a sequel per se of Shaolin Soccer. But it looks very much like a Stephen Chow movie. Video after the bump.

Hellboy 2

With all the superhero type movies and such and action packed movies coming out this summer, I almost feel like a lot of folks are forgetting about Hellboy 2. If you weren’t aware of the sequel, this time Ron Perlman is back again as Hellboy and it looks like most of the roles are reprised. Doug Jones is playing Abe Sapien and Selma Blair is back as Liz. It looks pretty good. Guillermo del Toro is back again directing the movie so this is good. I know he won’t mess it up. Trailer is after the bump.

Death of the PC

Yoshi and me were just chatting about the eventual death of both the PC and the mobile phone as we know them today when he asked me to test this FFAF-thingy for him. So since that happened, here I am.

So let me ask you the larger viewing audience than I have over at my site: Do you know what Flash Memory is? Do you know what a MicroSD card is? How do you feel about something like that replacing the CD and DVD so that PCs can become smaller? No more need for an optical drive. We’re past that now… it’s just that the industry has yet to really grasp that and catch up. We already get our music digitally. We can now get our HD movies digitally. Mac users have been stealing their software digitally for years. So why do we still have optical disks?

Have you seen the prices on Flash Memory lately? If not, take a look. You should get to know the future.

Topical Tuesday

Normally, I wouldn’t do a meme, but as everyone knows, sometimes I succumb to things. This week, Topical Tuesday is about the Oscars, and well, I just couldn’t resist.

What are some things that are bothering me about the Oscars this year? The fact that Brad Renfro was not mentioned in the memoriam. Not sure what’s up with that, but of course the Oscar mentioned that they only had a limited time, and could not mention everyone. Why was Brad bumped out? It couldn’t have been anyone else right? It couldn’t have anything to do with the fact that he died because of a heroine overdose could it? I hope not, because that would be some kind of discrimination. There are a lot of rumours out on the Internet. Who knows why he was bumped. It’s probably true that there’s no particular reason, and they did it because they really didn’t have any time. Ok, that’s cool.

Then it brings me to another thing. During the montages of all the hosts of the Oscars, did you get to see Whoopi Goldberg? You may have watched the View or seen all the news about it on the Internet. They totally did not include her in the montage, but did they show all of them? I think that it’s really awful they didn’t include Whoopi, I love her to death, but I think she may have overreacted. Although a part of me agrees with her when she said, “Undoubtedly, I pissed somebody off once again.” Although I have no idea why. She’s funny as hell!

What do you think? Opinions? Conspiracy Theories? Bring it!

Oscar Night

The OscarsTomorrow is Oscar Night. For those of you who watch movies all the time, this may be a momentous occasion for you. For those of us who don’t watch as many movies as we’d like, this is fun, but almost empty, since we have not seen half (or even 3/4) of the movies being nominated for Best Film. But, I just like watching the Oscars, even though I’ve never seen any of the movies.

Did you have any particular plans? I present a poll for you!

Is it fair that companies will not hire you because you smoke?
